The smallest PLC with color touch screen
Unitronics’ new Vision350™ PLC incorporates all color-advantages into a compact all-in-one PLC/HMI device. Color displays are becoming common in today’s automation. They enable machine builders to show more details on the operator panels, to display vivid, attention-grabbing alarms, and, in general, to brighten up their systems. This palm-size programmable logic controller offers exceptional capabilities and diverse I/O options. Its 3.5″ TFT touchscreen monitor can show over 1000 displays, with 3.5MB for images & fonts. The Vision350™ supports up to 166 I/Os via on-board and I/O expansion modules.
This power PLC and enhanced HMI is equipped with a color touchscreen, an improved processor, and diverse I/O options. Adaptable to most TCP/IP/serial protocols, the Vision350™ offers exceptional communication features, such as Ethernet connection via TCP/IP, GSM/SMS/GPRS, MODBUS, CANopen & UniCAN, and also includes free remote access utilities. On the surface, the Vision350™ programmable logic controller’s fully functioning HMI (human machine interface) features a 3.5″ color touchscreen display, capable of supporting 3MB of application memory for images, and 512K for fonts, allowing about 250 images and 1024 displays per application. Five programmable keys allow customization of function and layout (e.g. keys could be labeled as arrow keys using a supplied keypad slide). Enhanced programming features include trending, built-in alarm screens and easy HMI language support.
This high-speed programmable logic controller allows for 1 MB of logic memory, and a scan time of 15µsec per 1K of typical application. It also offers up to 38 onboard digital and analog I/Os that can expand up to 166, and includes digital and analog I/Os, temperature measurement and load cell inputs. Internal 120KB database enables datalogging and supports complex recipe programs. At 24 PID loops with auto-tune, plus onboard Thermocouple and PT100 inputs, the Vision350™ incorporates a full function temperature controller.
The Vision350™ offers a rich range of embedded features such as multiple auto-tuned PID loops, and internal 120K database for datalogging and recipe programming. Communication options include TCP/IP Ethernet, GSM/SMS, MODBUS and CANopen networking plus remote access for data acquisition and program download. 1MB Ladder code application memory (plus 3MB for images and 512K for fonts) enable the Vision350™ to run complex control and automation tasks. This new and improved combination of features enables engineers and systems designers to benefit from a powerful upgraded PLC and color touchscreen HMI within a bare minimum of budget, cabinet space, and wiring.
The 256-color touchscreen HMI enables the display of color-coded operator instructions and red, attention-grabbing alarm screens. It can also display graphs according to historical values—to reflect trends of recorded data. Display options are almost endless with more than 1000 user-designed screens, and up to 250 images per application. The Vision PLC/Graphic HMI series introduces an unbeatable price-performance ratio, enabling users to enjoy the advanced features of both the operator panel and the PLC, while maintaining low budget, reduced programming time and minimum wiring.
